Memorable quote:

Chief of Police Alemeida: Is all this really necessary to apprehend two men?
Hobbs
: Let me tell you a little something about these two men. One's a former federal officer, been in deep cover for five years, knows everywhere you're gonna come from. The other one's a professional criminal, escaped prison twice, spent half his life on the run avoiding folks like you.

What?

Toretto is in custody and sentenced to serve a nice time in prison. Of course O'Conner and Mia have something to say about this and break him out. Now everyone is on the run, O’Conner, Toretto and Mia. They try to hideout in Rio, before pulling one last job that will make them enough cash to spend the rest of their lives under the radar, not in handcuffs. For this they recruit all the big players of the race world. As they assemble their elite team of top racers, the unlikely allies know their only shot of getting out for good means confronting the corrupt businessman who wants them dead. If he is not enough we get Hobbs a hard-nosed federal agent who is in it to win it. The win here is to get the whole team locked up. Let’s race!

Yes?

Let’s start with the obvious; we have here some real mussel in play. We get Vin Diesel and the rock in the same movie. I must say those big guys almost didn’t fit the movie frame. They have both huge personalities, and of course when they collide its world war 3. This of course happens and gives us a good hardcore fighting scene. This was of course expected but I loved it. The other actors did their thing which was good but again in the shadows of the giants named before.

The plot is nice, I like it that they try to tie things up with the former movies, and that they didn’t bring other actors instead someone, I hated when they do that. Maybe a bit too complicated, they try to make it something it isn’t. Give a real reason, but ok it kept you interested all the way. The ending was nice, in which they really tie everything up and send everyone were he should be.

It was an action packed movie. We have everything here from guns, cars, explosions and money, all we need.

No?

This franchise is based on cars, cars and more cars. I’m sorry but in this one the cars weren’t the most important thing. We saw a couple of car scenes but I would love to see more. For example the race where they got the two extra cars, show us that, that’s what we want! Besides that I don’t like the bad guy, he was in Desperado and he was exactly the same here, just doesn’t feel it as an actor.

Something else that disturbs me is the action that is too much, I’ll explain. You have action scenes where you just say to yourself; that’s just too much, not possible, and they played with this line a bit. If you want to keep the movie serious, you need to deliver believable action sequences.

Well…

This movie is worth enough to be in the fast and furious series, even one of the better ones so I liked it, it kept what it promised and even showed a bit more. I believe they already work on the fast six or something, so we will see something more of those guys. Watch it, it ties up loose ends!
