Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 Trailer, watch it!!!

Normally I am not such a big fan of Harry but since I know that the whole world is in a spell surrounding this franchise, I must swallow my pride and just go with the flow. Here you have it the trailer for the last Harry Potter movie. I hope you will enjoy it.

I must say this looks quite exciting. I don’t know how accurate this comes over with the books and this stuff, but it makes me want to just let myself go and dive into all the adventures of Mr. Harry Potter and his friends. I just hate waiting so once this one will be in theaters I will start working on this. So just watch it and tell me what you think!!

review: 127 hours

director: Danny Boyle

release date: 28 January 2011

genre: adventure, drama ,even thriller!!

casting: James Franco, there were others but he is the only one worth mentioning

memorable quote:

James Franco: Lesson: don’t buy the cheap, made-in-China multi-tool. I tried to find my Swiss Army knife, but…

What?

The true story of Aron Ralston, that got stuck in the middle of nowhere in the freaking grand canyon. You could compare him to a cockroach that turned over onto his back in the middle of a football field. ( I think you got the point). The movie brings you the willingness of one to survive and to do anything and to get home to his loved once. (Again true story)

Yes?

Actually I’m really struggling for this movie, I wasn’t sure what to say and how to grade it, so I’m going to break it up in smaller pieces so this will be easier. Story, quite amazing and unlucky to get in this situation, but since it really happened and was caught on tape it’s difficult to change anything here. The one really great thing of the movie were I would say the angles and positions that the camera took to film this. For example you see his water canteen from inside, the water, the pee everything, you go through the hose of his Camelbak all those were awesome, and of course needed to make this film not boring, you need to keep in mind that you have only one actor here for almost the entire movie so this was pretty important. The acting, I don’t have too much to say about that I guess he was ok. Those were the positive points. Almost forget the actual climax of the movie, the “arm scene” was f*cking disgusting, again needed to be to give the viewer the feeling or tried to bring over something.

No?

Look I'm sorry that I'm not that generous with this movie, but the problem is that you already know the ending. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone but I think you know it already (that isn’t considered a spoiler sorry but have some basic knowledge!!) and I think this fact is a major drawback of the movie, of course nothing to do about it. I didn’t like the scenes where he is remembering stuff, they were boring I think. Of course the flashbacks where he wants water and stuff really original. I like that you have more than one actor in the movie, this was a one man show, this ruins it sometimes for me, in this case didn’t like the loneliness. (again no choice I know)

Well...

This movie can be an inspiration for many. It shows willingness to do anything in order to survive and to get home. I didn’t watch it at the movies, you should either but watch it on a big TV, and so you’ll get all the effects and stuff. It wasn’t awesome or really bad, it was a bit better than medium,ok ok even a bit more, because of all the above I grade this…

Cowboys and Aliens, trailer

I saw this trailer last week, and this week the theatrical trailer, and this looks like something worth watching. All the SF movies that we always see, it comes down to this, Bad Aliens are coming, we also have guns and aircrafts, let's fight back. This movie brings us something else, another time then we are used too. Riding on a horse against a freaking spaceship sounds a bit stupid, but somehow they seem to pull it off and it looks like something worth watching. So be prepared!!!

Olivia Wild and Daniel Craig seem to work nice together, and some amazing action scenes, I think this is something that we should be ready for!!!

Review: Limitless

director: Neil Burger

release date: 18 March 2011

genre: action

casting: Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro and Abbie Cornish

memorable quote:

Vernon: You know how they say we can only access 20% of our brain?
[Vernon points out the NZT pill on the table]
Vernon: This lets you access all of it.

What?

Imagine you had the power to change everything that you know, by just taking a pill, wouldn't you do it? I'm sure you would ask, “you mean in a good way”, then of course you would say yes, but what if you just don't know what's going to happen would you give the same answer? That's the story of our loser writer who got the chance to change his life.

Yes?

Two things made me like this movie, originality and entertainment, this movie had both and in overflow. We had this dream that everyone wants to take part off wherein everything we come in contact with turns into gold. Then we get the slight touch of action. And in the middle of all that Robert de Niro and Cooper who did a great job here. They did some beautiful stuff with the camera where you just keep on going like you fly, a nice touch which gives you kind of the feeling that you are unstoppable which is what the wonder drug does. This kind of movies have most of the time a great flow, some action and well a predictable ending, in our case it wasn’t, this movie was really fun, from the beginning till the end!

No?
I didn't really find flaws, maybe the fact that all the supporting actors just faded in the background, we had a one man show were none of the others was needed. Not the girlfriend, the cop or anybody else.

Well
This movie was fun and refreshing, even the ending was good. Not as predictable as you would expect. Watch it, even at the movies, you won't regret it. Because of all the above I grade this one...

review: The King's Speech

director: Tom Hooper

release date: 27 January 2011

genre: drama and some history I guess

casting: Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter

memorable quote:

King George VI: Listen to me. Listen to me!!
Lionel Logue
: Listen to you? By what right?
King George VI
: By divine right if you must, I am your king.
Lionel Logue
: No you're not, you told me so yourself. You didn't want it. Why should I waste my time listening?
King George VI
: Because I have a right to be heard. I have a voice!
Lionel Logue
: [pauses] Yes, you do.

What?

We get here the story of King George VI, and the fabulous story of a man with no voice who becomes the strongest and most important voice in England during its hardest times. It also shows us the strength of friendship between a King and his unorthodox speech therapist, which together overcame one of the first battles of the Second World War

Yes?

First and foremost I need to give credit to the actors. Colin Firth and Geoffrey rush. Actually I didn’t know that Firth had it in him, I remember some stupid scenes from Bridget Jones diary, but here he earned his stripes. Then we have Geoffrey rush, I just love this guy, everything that he touches, or plays becomes gold, I think he was brilliant in this part. I also loved the story, it’s even cooler that there is a true story behind it. Of course we need to acknowledge that Firth received best actor for his role in this one, which again raises the level of the movie. I especially loved all the unorthodox methods of rush to get the king his voice back. Another beauty is the story that comes with the therapy the birth and growth of a strong friendship between the king and the therapist.

No?

You have some moments were just nothing happens, since it’s a drama I believe those moments are dangerous and you can easily lose your crowd in these difficult times.
Besides that no particular things disturbed me, maybe (nobody can change history) is the stupidity of the king’s brother, who was king and gave everything up for this woman)

Well?

Don’t watch it when you are tired it will brake you down and you’ll wake up the next morning on the sofa. It’s a fun movie to watch and a nice story. But it’s definitely worth watching, it won’t be a waste of time. Because of all the above I grade this one…

review: Black Swan

director: Darren Aronofsky

release date: 20 January 2011

genre: thriller

casting: Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis and Vincent Cassel

memorable quote:

Nina Sayers: I was perfect...

What?

A ballet dancer is at her peek of her career when she is chosen to dance the white swan, which is perfect for her its suits her personality and style. The problem is, the person who dances the white swan needs also to dance the black swan. The black swan is the complete opposite of the white and collides with her character and nature. The black swan is vicious and brutal, everything she isn’t. Will she kill it, or will it destroy her?

Yes?

If you have been awake the last year for the Oscars you know that this movie got a couple of them, not to mention best picture and best actress. This should be enough reason to watch it, but as I always say seeing is believing, and here I saw and I couldn't believe it. The best actress was totally worth it, best picture I'm not that sure. For Portman the movie gives us the psychological holocaust that she is going through to master the vicious black swan. I must say she was amazing, the story wasn't spectacular but only satisfying. Kunis was gorgeous and she also stood her ground as supporting actress. You see the transformation that Portman undergoes, from one extreme to the other, and it shows you different stages in the middle, which was really interesting to see. The Soundtrack was amazing, and the filming was also really good, that's about it.

No?

As I said before good as a whole but no spectacular as it should be for best picture. The story was good, even scary which was nice, but this is a drawback, good but not spectacular. I also expected some major ending and even some sort of gigantic climax but what we got was a bit disappointing. The ending had just the flowe like the whole movie.

Well?

Watch it definitely, best picture not in my opinion. Best actress, of course without a doubt. I expected another something in the movie that wasn't there, but all in all good stuff. Because of all the above I grade this one...
