What?

Sometime in the future, everything is controlled by the church, the world is ruined by the endless war between men and the nightwalker, the vampire. They are assumed to have been defeated, by the priests, the only effective weapon against the vampire and the rest put in cages to rot till end of time. It is believed men overcame this plague, but this is only believed to be true!! Muahahahahah ( I needed to)

Yes?

The whole movie has this type of darkness that surrounds it, which is needed in a vampire movie, this was great. I loved the intro to the movie, the short but bloody introduction to this whole thing. Another thing they didn't spare is the ketchup, the red sauce, I just love it when blood flows, especially in a vampire movie. You had a couple of nice action and fighting scenes, some slow motions and that's quite it. I loved the priest’s weapons, dam cool.
Bettany is good he delivers, he has always this priestly and weirdly look around him, he just pulls it off. He did it in the Davinci code, he did it here again.

No?
This movie lacks a good story, it seemed almost too easy to overcome everything. I like it when the hero actually needs to do something to win.
I didn't find any real actor here that is worth mentioning, so this means they all didn't bring anything good either, so be it. The movie had potential but in my opinion it was just not used in a good way.

Well...
This movie lacked a decent something, it may have been the story or the lack of talent, but I still watched it till the end so, if you like this vampire crap and I don't mean twilight, watch it, if not just sit this one out, you won’t miss anything. Because of all the above I grade this one...

Grade: 6 out of 10
