Memorable quote:
Agent Coulson: [interrogating Thor] It's not easy to do what you did. You made my men, some of the most highly trained professionals in the world look like a bunch of minimum-wage mall cops. In my experience, it takes someone who's received similar training to do what you did to them. Why don't you tell me where you received that training? Afghanistan, Chechnya? No, you strike me more as the soldier of fortune type. Who are you?

And of course (especially loved this one!)

Agent Cale: [staring at The Destroyer] Is that one of Stark's?
Agent Coulson: I don't know. Guy never tells me anything.

What? Since this last summer was the summer of superheroes, this one will also be one. Thor was the rightful heir e to the throne of Asgard after a small clash with his father the reigning king, as a punishment for Thor being arrogant and irresponsible he is send as a “punishment” to earth ( thanks by the way). On earth as every guy or thing with superpowers he attracts various enemies and even some friends, if this wouldn't be enough; a villain from Asgard sends troops in to our world to destroy him and everything next to him

Yes?
I needed to watch it as a preparation for bigger things that stand for us. I can say a couple of good things for exchange for a lot of bad ones, sorry Thor, Marvel and all the comic lovers. First I need to say that I was excited for this movie, I saw every trailer possible etc. I didn’t know about this superhero before so the first time I saw him was great.

The effects in the movie where nice, Hemsworth as a new face was good enough, I liked the beginning when he gets to earth the confusion and everything, Asgard was also beautifully made. His weapon the “the mighty hammer” was just awesome (more about it later) Portman was ok, not the performance of her life and well Hopkins was as always perfect, nothing to say there.
The story even though based on a comic was nice and good and even a bit entertaining, not more.

No?
As I said before I was excited for this movie, so excited that when it came out and it didn’t stand up to my expectations I was really disappointed, who would believe that Marvel can come up which such a crappy movie.

The beginning was promising, the frost people and the fight there, was of the hook, but that’s it, the fights later where just easy and stupid. You would believe that they would at least make an effort to try to make it look a bit difficult.

So this was the major disappointment, if you have a superhero with huge powers you expect him to use them against the villains in an awesome way, not become human and try something else, cute but this sucked!

Well…
I know it’s an older movie; I was a bit in a break for a while, so things piled up. To conclude this movie, was definitely not something important to watch, if you are a superheroes fan it’s for you if not leave it on the shelf. BTW stay after the credits, this shows the amazing link between all the Superhero’s and the avengers, which will come out in almost a while from now. And that’s why it gets an additional point. Because of all the above I grade this one…

Grade: 6.5 out of 10
